THE IDEA BEHIND THE NAME

Giving ideas
their form.

Eidos takes its name from the Greek word εἶδος, associated with form. In ancient philosophy, it helped frame questions about what a thing is and what gives it its character.

Plato and Aristotle developed different accounts of form. Our connection to design is an interpretation of that idea: creative work gives intention a form that people can see, understand and experience.

A name with a purpose.

For designers, form carries meaning. A choice of type, an image, a sequence or an interaction can express an identity, guide attention and make an idea clear. Eidos is built around that responsibility.

01

Understand the intention.

Briefs bring the right questions into the conversation: the purpose, the audience, the context and the direction.

02

Give the idea structure.

Presentations help organize creative decisions into a story a client can follow and discuss.

03

Shape the work together.

Feedback, revisions and approvals give designers and clients a clear place to move the project forward.

CREATED BY EDDY RIVAS

I created EIDOS to give creative professionals a more thoughtful way to move from the first conversation to the final presentation. My intention is simple: connect briefs, presentations, feedback, and approvals in one useful space, without taking creative control away from the designer.
